How TankNet Works
2025-10-13
The tank net, also known as an anti-tank obstacle net, is a military defense system designed to thwart armored vehicles like tanks. It comes in two main structural designs: one is a corrugated net typically 10 meters long, 4 meters wide, and 1.4 meters high, ideal for laying on the ground or among vegetation; the other features a wheeled design, consisting of 10 to 20 cylindrical nets that offer superior stability and enhanced protection capabilities.
How it works: Based on the tank's tracked movement mechanism, when the tank attempts to drive through a barrier net, the tracks create friction with the net and become entangled. As the tank moves forward, the net gradually wraps around the drive sprocket, forcing the tank to come to a halt.
